FAQ
The questions people actually ask.
Grouped by topic so you can jump to what you need. Every answer stays honest about limits — if the answer is "we don't yet" or "we won't", it says so.
01
The trial
Do I need to pay to start the trial?
No. The 48-hour trial is free. A small refundable authorisation may be placed on your card to confirm it works — the amount is released, not captured. You're only charged after the trial ends and you haven't cancelled.
What's unlocked during the trial?
The full Study Desk. Diagnostic, first programme, first lesson, first action task, first AI mentor thread, the Business Progress Record, calculators and guides. Every function is real, not a demo.
How does the trial end?
At 48 hours, your subscription starts on your regional monthly plan unless you cancelled first. You get a reminder inside the Study Desk before that happens.
Can I try again if I don't finish in 48 hours?
The 48 hours is a single window. Beyond that you subscribe on the regional plan (which stays cancellable at any time). One trial per phone number.
Do I need Nigerian data / good internet to try it?
Lessons work on typical Nigerian 3G/4G. Video content is optimised for low bandwidth. Offline downloads are on the roadmap but not shipped yet.
02
Pricing & billing
How much does it cost?
US $19.99/month, UK £15.99/month, Nigeria ₦9,900/month. Reduced further in other developing regions. Full details on the pricing page.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) in USD and GBP. Paystack, Monnify or Flutterwave for Nigerian cards and bank transfers. Paystack rails across Ghana, Kenya and South Africa in local currency. Manual bank transfer available for Nigeria on request.
What's your refund policy?
Full refund within 14 days of your first paid month if you haven't started lessons. After lessons have started we don't offer time-based refunds — the material was delivered.
Can I switch tracks later?
Yes. Academy, Professional, Trades and Ministry are separate subscriptions on one eZine account. Add or remove any of them from your billing settings.
Why does my region show a different price?
Fair-across-regions pricing: the same platform costs less where local incomes are lower. The country you choose for your studies never changes what you pay — the country at checkout does.
Do you offer group / cohort discounts?
Cooperatives, associations, employers and ministries buy seats through the organisations pricing model — the more seats, the lower the per-seat cost.
03
The platform
How is eZine Trades different from a video course?
The diagnostic reads your stage and industry, then places you in the right programme, sized to your business. The AI mentor works inside every lesson. Mastery Checks confirm you actually understood before unlocking the next step. See the how it works page.
Do I have to follow a fixed order?
Programmes have a sensible default order per stage, but the Study Desk allows out-of-order access once you're past your baseline. Mastery Checks still gate progress on evidence, not calendar dates.
What if my business changes stage mid-programme?
Re-run the diagnostic from your Study Desk. Your progress carries. The next programme is picked from the new stage — nothing is lost.
Can I use it if I don't yet have a business?
Yes. The Exploring and Preparing-to-start stages are built exactly for that — validating an idea, costing the start, planning first customers. See business stages.
What industries do you cover?
Twenty-eight industry lenses at launch — construction, agriculture, hospitality, IT, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, and more. See the full list.
04
AI Business Mentor
What is the AI Business Mentor allowed to do?
Coach through decisions inside your programmes, cite the lessons behind its answers, ask follow-up questions, and review artefacts you upload (like a pricing sheet or an offer draft).
What won't the mentor do?
Invent regulations, funding programmes, market prices or programme availability. Give legal, tax, licensing or regulated-financial advice. Guarantee outcomes. Full detail on the mentor page.
What happens with regulated questions?
The mentor recognises them and escalates to human review or points you at qualified professionals — a licensed lawyer, accountant, or financial advisor in your jurisdiction.
Can I correct the mentor?
Yes. Every response has a "flag for correction" control. Flagged responses are reviewed by staff and, where appropriate, feed back into the retrieval index for future learners.
Is the mentor available in local languages?
English at launch. Nigerian Pidgin, Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa roll out through the reviewer pipeline as they clear review — no half-translated releases.
05
Certificate
Is it accredited or university-recognised?
eZine issues its own verifiable completion certificate. We do not use terms like "accredited" or "university" unless the exact claim has been independently confirmed for a specific jurisdiction and programme. If a specific accreditation is added, we will name the accrediting body on this page.
How is a certificate verified?
Every certificate carries a public ID that anyone can check on the verification page. If we can't verify it, we say so — not "unknown" or "pending".
What does the certificate say I've done?
It names the programmes completed, the Mastery Checks passed, the dates of enrolment and completion, and a link to the verification record. It does not claim credentials it doesn't have.
Can I share the certificate?
Yes — a shareable link plus a downloadable image and PDF. The verification page works even for people without an eZine account.
06
Organisations
How does an organisation buy seats?
Contact us to size the cohort. Payment by card, bank transfer or invoice. Seats are activated by inviting each learner by phone or email. Full detail on the organisations page.
What can the sponsor see?
Aggregate cohort progress — how many learners started, cleared Mastery Checks, completed programmes. Never individual mentor conversations or private business figures.
Can we brand the sponsor experience?
Yes. Sponsor dashboards can carry your logo and name in reports. The learner experience remains eZine's — we don't co-brand the learning interface.
Do you run cohorts on our schedule?
Cohorts land in the Study Desk on any date. Nothing depends on a calendar cohort — every learner starts on day one of enrolment.
07
Referrals & rep codes
Someone gave me a rep code — what does it do?
It credits the rep who referred you and may unlock partner offers from cooperatives or organisations. It does not change your price, grant special access, or give the rep visibility into your progress. See referrals.
How do I know a code was applied?
At the top of the sign-up form you'll see the rep's first name and organisation confirmed. If nothing is shown, no code was picked up — you can type it in the "Have a rep code?" field.
Can I become a rep?
Reps are usually people who already know the audiences eZine is built for — trade associations, cooperatives, faith networks, small-business support programmes. Talk to us for the honest terms.
08
Data & privacy
What data do you collect at sign-up?
Phone number, first name, country, business stage. Card details only where you volunteer them. No government ID at sign-up. See the Privacy page for the full policy.
Is my Business Progress Record private?
Yes. Progress, notes, mentor threads and BPR entries are private to your account. In an organisation seat the sponsor sees aggregate cohort progress only — never individual detail.
Is my data used to train AI?
Confidential learner data is not used for public AI training without explicit lawful authorisation. Anonymised patterns may inform product improvement — see the privacy policy for the definitions we hold ourselves to.
How do I delete my account?
From your Study Desk billing settings, or by emailing privacy@ezinelearning.com. Deletion is completed within thirty days and confirmed to you.
09
Support
How fast is support?
Within one working day for account and billing questions. Faster for trial-blocking issues (payment failed, code didn't apply). Weekends slower.
Do you have a phone line?
Not yet. WhatsApp support for Nigeria is on the roadmap. Meanwhile the fastest way is email or the "⚑ Report a problem" control inside the Study Desk.
What if the AI mentor gets something wrong?
Flag the response inside the lesson. A staff member reviews and, where appropriate, replies with a correction and updates the underlying retrieval so future learners don't hit the same issue.
I still have a question.
Contact us or email support@ezinelearning.com.
Answers are useful. The Study Desk is decisive.
Forty-eight hours to see the platform, the mentor and the certificate flow for yourself. No card required to start.
